On 2/21/2017 Morgan County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle. The pursuit started at a residence located on Easter Hollow road off S Buck Creek. The pursuit was terminated near Mill Creek road and Adkinsvillage Road. The vehicle was later recovered near Gibson Point at the end of route P and was unoccupied at that time.
Deputies returned to the residence where the pursuit began to interview witnesses. During the course of this investigation deputies discovered methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and paraphernalia at that residence. Arrested at the house were Janet Mills and Pamela Englehart. Both females have been charged with possession of control substance, bond set at $20,000. Investigators developed a suspect in the stolen vehicle/pursuit case that was identified as Richard Mullins, a white male 23 years of age. Mullins had an active warrant for absconding from parole. Deputies followed up on several leads on Friday and through the weekend but were unable to locate Mullins.
On 2/27/2017 deputies were able to get information that Mullins was now operating a stolen corvette and was in the Clinton Mo area. It was also learned that Mullins was going to a residence just East of Stover on Highway 52. A four man arrest team was then deployed into the woods surrounding the residence. At approximately 5:00pm deputies located in Stover, observed a red Chevrolet Corvette traveling East on 52. A few moments later the arrest team observed this vehicle pull into the residence on Highway 52. Two males were observed exiting the vehicle and started walking toward the house. At that time the arrest team made contact with these subjects. Both subject resisted arrest and one male fled on foot. After a short foot chase and struggle both men were taken into custody. Arrested were: Richard Mullins, 23 of Gravois Mills and Brandon Van Blaricon, 37 of Clinton Mo. Both men had active warrants for absconding from parole. The vehicle had been stolen from Lake Ozark Mo on 2/26/17 and had not been discovered stolen by the owner until contact by this office. Found inside the vehicle was approximately 1 ounce of methamphetamine, paraphernalia and what is believed to be a stolen handgun. Several charges are expected to be filed on these men.
